Meet the Team

Over the last twenty years swimming has been a connecting force to self, to nature, to local & global community. It’ has provided a lens through which to experience the world, navigate challenges, and develop an authentic process rooted in passion and curiosity. It is with humility and joy that I share this journey with all water beings at the water’s edge.

Linnea Mack
Tasmania, Australia

  • As a member of Team USA I’ve traveled the world competing internationally against some of the best in the world, posting top 40 world rankings in sprint freestyle, backstroke and butterfly along the way. During my time as a UCLA Bruin I held school records in four individual and five relay events. In more recent years I’ve continued to diversify my experience competing in the Honu Ironman 70.3 and completing the Pailolo Channel crossing.

  • After graduating UCLA with a degree in Geography- Environmental Studies and Spanish I served in AmeriCorps Food Corps program integrating/leading hands on garden education classes into elementary school curriculum. Upon moving to Hawaii I served as a program coordinator for Surfrider Spirit sessions providing at risk youth space through ocean-based mentorship program. Throughout this time I’ve continued to give back to the local communities through clinics, workshops and coaching- sharing my eclectic wealth of knowledge from around the world across all ages and abilities!

  • In third grade I was diagnosed with scoliosis. It was severe enough to the point doctors recommended inserting a metal rod to help straighten the curve and prevent it from getting worse. I had just started swimming and as an active eight year old girl this would severely limit my longevity in athletics. Looking into alternative options my mom found a practitioner who specialized in yoga for scoliosis. What began as a chore developed into an appreciation for the physical benefits in how it helped my swimming. Then transformed into a method to improve the mental side of sport. A tool for inducing flow state - helpful for competitive performance. Only recently did I begin to embrace the totality of what yoga is all about, it has become an all encompassing way of being. A way to show up more presently and deeply in life.

I am a lifelong athlete, kinesiologist, and yoga teacher based in Victoria, BC. With a background in competitive sport, health, and movement, I’m passionate about creating supportive spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies and breath. Whether I’m in the pool, clinic, or studio

Jordyn Ryan
Vancouver, Canada

  • I am a former NCAA Division I swimmer and a Swimming Canada High Performance Centre alumni. I now compete with the Victoria Masters Swim Club and dabble in triathlon. A lifelong athlete, I never lost the desire to train and compete, staying connected to sport through Masters swimming and endurance events.

  • I hold a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences. I have worked in higher education, non-profit policy research, and now practice as a kinesiologist and yoga instructor in Victoria, BC. I bring a deep respect for functional movement and individualized care to my clinical and teaching roles.

  • After years of high-performance sport, yoga offered me a space to reconnect with my body, regulate my nervous system, and heal from burnout. My classes are designed to meet people where they are—whether you're training, recovering, or simply seeking stillness.
